• Turvallisuus
  SSL-VPN-laite antaa käyttäjille oikeuden ainoastaan ennalta määrättyihin sovelluksiin. Säännöt voidaan tehdä käyttäjä- tai ryhmätasolla
• Tuottavuus
  Jos istuu partnerin tai asiakkaan verkossa, on hyvin mahdollista että IPSEC-VPN ei pääse palomuurin läpi. SSL-VPN kommunikoi HTTPS (443) portilla, mikä melkein aina on auki.
  Koska monet sovellukset toimivat selaimessa pääset myös käsiksi niihin mistä tahansa ilman omaa kannettavaa.
• Kustannustehokkuus
